Markus is Executive Director of the University of Maryland Center for Cyber, Health and Hazard Strategies (CHHS), where he leads efforts in emergency response planning, training, and cyber incident preparedness. Previously, he served as CHHS’ Cybersecurity Program Director, focusing on legal and policy issues and advising government and private sector organizations. Markus is also a Lecturer-in-Law at the University of Maryland Carey School of Law, where he teaches cybersecurity and data privacy.
